My friend and neighbour, Sonja, is an unusual woman by any standards. Her tales from The Valley are inspiring, funny, and sometimes awesome. She tells life in this community near Magaliesburg as it is. There are no trimmings to her tales. I laugh, I wonder, and often I shudder when I read her narrative of family and community life, social development and sacrifice blended with being a postgrad student. She lights up cyberspace.
